The Pinyon Group was retained by master developer, The Related Companies, to provide realistic post-recession recommendations for the development of the market-rate workforce housing portion of the 20+ acre first phase of the transit-oriented development adjacent to the new El Monte Station — what will be the largest bus station west of Chicago — and the Rio Hondo. The Pinyon Group was also tasked with assisting The Related Companies with the ultimate selection of a homebuilder for the for-sale housing phase of the project. Significant input was solicited and received from a number of prominent infill homebuilders.
