The West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Campus is an example of The Pinyon Group’s commitment to utilizing its expertise to help worthy projects come to fruition.
The 388-acre West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs (“WLAVA”) campus is being transformed into a vibrant, cohesive, and supportive community for Veterans and their families who are experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness.
The Campus will include approximately 1,691 supportive homes, extensive amenity spaces, and numerous community meeting places, and significant infrastructure improvements all of which will be located on land ground leased from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The vision contemplates both new construction and adaptive reuse methods.
An iconic landmark within the WLAVA Campus, and oldest building on Wilshire Boulevard, the Wadsworth Chapel will be restored and preserved as a holistic healing center to honor the legacy of our Veterans while also providing for the health and well-being of current and future Veterans. Wadsworth Chapel will serve as a source of hope and healing for generations of Veterans to come.
The Pinyon Group was retained as strategic advisor to help the developer procure a team and craft winning proposals in response to two competitive RFPs issued by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The outcome of each was successful. To date, over half of the planned units have either been delivered or are under construction.
